A Holiday Miracle

The technicians here at SERVPRO are specially trained to handle any size disaster. Nothing is too big or too small for our highly equipped team, no matter what day.

The holidays are a great time rejoice and be surrounded by your loved ones but unfortunately one Thanksgiving morning, an apartment complex 8 miles down from the SERVPRO of Glendora/San Dimas was struck by a burst pipe.

A small family of 3 had left earlier in the week to go celebrate Thanksgiving with relatives, leaving their home vacant for some days but their neighbors were still home. The neighbors were getting ready for a Thanksgiving feast later in the day so as they were prepping the food they noticed some water on the floor against the baseboard, along the shared wall with the neighbors. They didn't think too much of it and figured someone had spilled some water so they wiped it up with a towel and continued prepping. They noticed the water again and wondered where the water was coming from but choose to ignore it. Few moments passed and they noticed the water again but it was gray this time, they knew something was wrong and called the maintenance man to come and inspect their home. The maintenance man wasn't able to find  anything inside their apartment so he went next door and found the problem, against that same wall was the neighbors laundry room and one of the pipes inside the wall burst. Everyone was frustrated and annoyed that such an event had to have happen on Thanksgiving but with SERVPROS 24 hour emergency, we’re able to save the day. The damage was minor because it happened so suddenly but the team of SERVPRO of Glendora/ San Dimas were able to restore the affected area. Getting in and out of the job site very quickly so that they were all able to enjoy their Thanksgiving Feast.
